It is confirmed that there are 2 coronavirus sufferers in the archipelago and it happens in Depok.
Both of them are mother and her daughter. They are infected because of Japanese citizen who had interact to daughter before.
For your information, the Japanese citizen who infected by coronavirus was in Malaysia before went to Indonesia.
And in Indonesia after passed the inspection in immigration section of Soekarno-Hatta Airport the Japanese met the daughter in dancing club at Valentine's day.
Then, the story begins. The daughter is positive infected. Thus, she infects to her mother at home.
Both of them now are isolated and treatmented in special hospital for infection, RSPI Sulianti Suroso in North Jakarta.
Due to the first case of coronavirus in Indonesia, Depok is now trending and viral in Google and social media.

Depok is one of city in West Java Province where located in southern of Jakarta.
Because of the location this city becoming living home for many people who works in Jakarta.
They commute every day from Depok to their office in the capital by mass or private transportation. The situation makes Depok so dense.
As of 2014 census, the population in the city is 1.869.681 people and density is 8.746 people/ km per square.
In greater Jakarta, Depok ranks 3rd after Tangerang and Bekasi for the density. Of course, Depok is also so dense in West Java.

It is related with history of Depok. In that time Depok was a private land of ex VOC officer, Cornelis Chastelein.
The officer after resigned from the Dutch multinational trading corporation had decided to buy land from Jatinegara to Depok in the 17th century.
After the land had been privatized, Mr Chastelein then freed his slaves and baptized them with christian family name and give them rights to cultivate the land.
This people who were mostly from East Indonesia spoke Dutch then in their daily life. The situation made them called as Belanda Depok.

This is because of Depok is one of Betawi language area outside Jakarta. Other areas are Tangerang and Bekasi.
It is no wonder if you travel to Depok you cannot find the Sundanese speaker although Sundanese is taught in school.

For many people in Indonesia Depok is famous because of University of Indonesia located in the city since 1987.
The most famous university in Indonesia has 330 hectare for the place.
Inside university there is also hospital, gym facilities and also forest.
Many people around campus utilize campus for sport recreation in every weekend.
Besides UI, there are many campuses in Depok such as Gunadarma University, BSI and PNJ.

Depok is one of the city that had bloodiest history after the independence of Indonesia, 1945.
There are many Belanda Depoks who were not recognize the independence were killed by pro independence or pemuda.
The situation made most of them then flew to The Netherlands and become a part of Indo communities there.

In Dutch time, Depok was an acronym of de eeste protestante organisatie van christenen or protestant christian organization in English due to in that time Depok was the centre of christian learning.
How to get there?
You can travel to Depok by various transportations. By air you can take plane and landed in Soekarno Hatta airport and then continue the jouney by using airport train to Manggarai Station or Damri Bus to Depok bus terminal.
By land you can take bus or train. By bus you can take it from Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
By train you can take airport train to Manggarai Station and then continue by take KRL Commuter Line to Bogor or Nambo and step out in Depok Baru Station or Depok Station depend on your destination.
You can also take TransJakarta BRT to Depok if you take KRL Commuter Line and step out in Pasar Minggu Station.
When you exit from station please go to the Pasar Minggu Bus Terminal in across of station and then take the TransJakarta to Depok Bus Terminal or University of Indonesia.
You can travel too to Depok by MRT from Dukuh Atas Station and then step out in Lebak Bulus Station.
After that you can continue by take MetroTrans to University of Indonesia.
By sea you can harbored in Tanjung Priok Harbour. Then you can continue by take KRL Commuter Line in Tanjung Priok Station to JakartaKota Station.
In JakartaKota please continue by take KRL to Bogor or Depok.
You can also by take TransJakarta from Tanjung Priok but this is so far away and I don't recommend it.
Besides mass transportation you can travel to Depok by take private transportation via Cijago toll road or Depok-Antasari toll road.
